MathNet, a Goals 2000 funded project was designed to enable students in grades K-8 to connect with another class and share math word or story problems through email exchange and the MathNet website.  

Project Objectives:

• The learner will be able to develop an understanding of operations and their effects. 
• The learner will be able to display comprehension of the properties and/or relationships of operations. 
• The learner will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the properties of various operations. 
• The learner will be able to use the procedures of operations to obtain problem solutions. 
• The learner will be able to obtain solutions to real world problems that involve computations. 
• The learner will be able to exhibit proficiency when performing computational procedures.
