Reading

We will read Two Bad Ants.  Our skill is plot and theme.

English

We will learn about adjectives, articles and adverbs.

Spelling

Please study the following words:  leadership, gracefully, refreshment, uncomfortable, overdoing, remarkable, carefully, unbearable, ownership, unacceptable, impossibly, reappeared, unprepared, oncoming, misbehaving, prettiest, defend, program, probably, general.

Math

Please correct and review your child’s homework with him/her.  Please practice the multiplying by 1-10 facts.  We have now learned all of the facts and we are beginning division.  Also, review subtraction facts.  Some students’ math grades are suffering because they aren’t memorizing their facts.  These are practiced daily at school, but they must be practiced at home as well!

Science/Social Studies

We will learn about plants and animals.  We will also learn about Appalachia.
