We focus on a specific spelling skill in class each week.  We do several "Working with Words" activities in class to assist in the development of these skills.

We have fifteen regular spelling words and five Word Wall words that students must learn to spell each week.  A pre-test is given each Wednesday and a final test each Friday.  Student who make a 100% on Wednesday's test are not required to take Friday's test.

Students are expected to apply the knowledge they learn as part of spelling class to the rest of their classwork.  Therefore, one point is counted off each time a spelling or word wall word is misspelled in any written work.
