nomad a person who has no permanent home but keeps moving from place to place

candidate the people who are running for office in an election
ballot a sheet of paper or some other method used to mark a secret vote
campaign what a candidate running for an elected office does to get votes, such as running advertisements on television, making speeches, and talking with voters
time zone a region in which people use the same clock time
sand dune a hill-like mound formed by blowing sand
oasis an area in a desert where there is water
