CLASSROOM and
LABORATORY RULES
Rules are everywhere in
life. They exist to set limits for
us. Rules are a necessary part of life
as is self-discipline. The plan below allows
for the student to manage his/her own behavior.
- The
student will follow the directions the first time they are given.
- Students
will not ask to leave class unless it is an emergency. Hall passes will not be given until the last
10 minutes of class.
- The
class will be respectful of each other.
Talking while others are speaking, harassing others, and making fun
of others will not be tolerated.
- Horse
play will not be tolerated (including throwing objects).
- Profanity
will not be allowed in the classroom.
If You Choose to Break
a Rule
1st occurrence – Warning,
name and violation recorded
2nd occurrence – Denial
of break
3rd occurrence – Denial
of break for 2 days and behavior report 1 completed
4th occurrence –
Completion of behavior report 2 and parents contacted
5th occurrence –
Administrative referral
Because I care about each
for you, I will not tolerate anyone who interferes with someone else who is
trying to learn. If someone severely
disrupts the class, I will immediately impose the severest penalty: referral to
an administrator and call to the parent (see JCHS Student Handbook)
Rewards will be given to
reinforce appropriate behavior.
