Extra Credit Options                        Mrs. Briggs

You may complete any of the extra credit assignments from the following list during a given semester. These assignments may be completed at any time during the semester, but are due no later than the last day of the nine weeks.  The maximum points given for extra credit is 50 points.  Extra credit is not applied to chapter test grades.

1. Choose any topic we are studying and write song lyrics. You may change the words to an existing song or create an original song. Turn in a typed copy of the lyrics along with a tape or live performance of the song. Perform your song for the class to receive maximum points.  Content is important!

2. Choose any topic we are studying and write a poem. Turn in a typed copy of your poem.  You may also choose to read your poem in front of the class for maximum credit. Content is important!

3. Choose any topic we are studying and create a piece of artwork. This can be a detailed drawing, a model, a sculpture, etc.   Include a typed description of how your artwork depicts the concepts involved. Content is important!

4.  Choose any topic we are talking about and create a poster board timeline.  Include all relevant events and people.  Remember content and neatness.
