Gradebook Plus – Quick Guide
- Program Set Up – From the drop down menu under
SPECIAL
- Select
Change Program Set up
- Make your personal selections
- Set up a Class
- From File drop down menu, select
set up a new class
- Name class and select
- Change the Grading Scale-set up the grade scale
- Change the Weight of Categories
- You may weight or choose not to weight and even
color code the categories
- Entering Scores
- From the ADD drop down menu
- Select
enter a set of score
- Give the score a title and possible points

If you have assigned categories the title must be preceded by
the category name

Example: homework-chapter 3
- Edit a Set of Scores
- From the KEY drop down menu, select the
item to be edited
- Select Change Info and make your changes
accordingly – this may be renaming the entry, changing the possible
points, adding point to all class members’ score, or changing the factor
applied.
- Drop a score
- From the ALTER drop down menu, select
remove a set of scores
- Add/transfer of remove a new student
- From the ALTER drop down menu, select
remove or transfer and student
- Select the student to be dropped or transferred,
select the action to be taken
- Group Maker
- From the REPORTS drop down menu, select
Group Maker Report
- Select the number of students in a group and the
method of grouping
- Printing Reports
- From the REPORTS drop down menu, select
Gradebook of entire class (you will want to print this and keep a
hard copy at the end of each nine weeks.
- From the REPORTS drop down menu, select
Individual student report

Identify the students for a report and select your qualifiers.
v
Always select two per page (if room)
- From the REPORTS drop down menu, select
Statistics on entry
- From the REPORTS drop down menu, select
Rosters and entry sheets.
These are great to print for a substitute. Never leave your grade book!
- Backing up files to a disk or remove drive
- From the file menu, select BACK UP CLASS FILES;
select the drive you are backing up to and complete to back up.
- When moving these file to another computer, from
the file menu, select
retrieve Class Files; select the location of the files to be
retrieved.
One more tip, at the end of the nine weeks – select
Replicate Class roster from
the FILE menu and you are ready to go for the next nine weeks!
