SUMMARY OF PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT |
The learner will be engaged in learning through an anticipation guide. The anticipation guide increases the learner comprehension because it focuses their attention towards content to be presented. Unconsciously students will be assimilating and accommodating new information with old information. Anticipation guide: has true and false statements about matter and basic properties. The learner states whether they think the statements are true or false. When everyone has answered, statements are checked by teacher as a whole class. During active learning, the teacher addresses those questions and proves why they are true or false. *** make sure questions target the objectives to be addressed in lesson.

The learner will be given examples of matter to identify. The learner will be asked to describe the behavior of atoms in different states of matter The learner will be given examples of changes in matter and asked to identify as a chemical or physical change The learner will be provided various activities to assess knowledge of material learned

OVERVIEW OF STUDENT LEARNING ACTIVITIES |
The Three States of Matter : The learner will be able to differentiate between solids, liquids, and gases through inquiry. The learner will learn to gather information and represent it on s graph. Know and Understand vocabulary: solid, liquid, gas, property, and matter |
Properties of Matter : The learner will understand that all matter has properties. The learner will be able to identify the properties of an object.
Know and understand Vocabulary: property |
All Matter is Made of Atoms : To understand that all matter is made of small particles called atoms. To understand that atoms behave differently in different states of matter |
Changes in Matter: The learner will be able to differentiate between a physical change The learner will be able to differentiate between a physical change |
Review the Three States of Matter: During this lesson, the learner will be provide with various enrichment activities to enhance his/her knowledge of the three states of matter. |
