LESSON OVERVIEW

Students will apply previous knowledge acquired from the Incorporating Technology lesson using the interactive websites on roller coasters.

INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS

Students should be able to incorporate what they have learned by applying their knowledge in the design of their roller coaster.

FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT

Assessment includes fulfilling the requirements on the rubric.

LESSON ORGANIZATION

Opening the Lesson:
_5_ minutes

Explain the purpose of the laboratory investigation.  Distribute lab supplies to each group.

Developing the Lesson:
_35_ minutes

Students develop their own slowest coaster design.  Students will make a scale drawing of their work.

Slowest Roller Coaster Lab

Closing the Lesson:
_5_ minutes

Clean up laboratory space and put lab supplies away.

Place the BBs only in plastic tubing provided.  Do not throw BBs.  Do not ingest BBs.
