LESSON OVERVIEW

Discuss how ratios, proportions, and similar figures will be applied to their roller coaster project.

INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS

The student will be able to determine if two ratios are proportional, be able to do a scale drawing, and be able to solve proportions.

Math Standard

                        1.7 – Use real numbers to represent real world applications (proportionality).

                        2.6 – Demonstrate an understanding of rates and other derived indirect measurements.

                        3.14 – Articulate and apply algebraic properties in symbolic manipulation.
