Fifth Grade with Mr. Collins

Welcome to the Fifth Grade!  This page is updated and posted weekly with classroom and school news.  Check this page often for the latest news updates from the Fifth Grade.

Updated May 5, 2008

  • We have used our last box of Kleenex.  We could use a few boxes to carry us to the end of the year.  It seems we have quite a few allergy sufferers in our class.  Thanks in advance!

  • Beginning May 5 all lunch money must be cash - no checks for the remainder of the year.

  • May 19 - Night of Stars - 6:30 p.m.

  • Honors Day (grades 3-5) is scheduled for May 21 at 1:00 p.m.

  • May 21 - Last Full Day of School

  • Print the 2008-2009  school calendar.

  • Have you read Homework Suggestions for Parents?

  • We need your Help!  As an ongoing effort to raise classroom funds, my class participates in a simple project each year by collecting used cell phones and empty printer cartridges.  Our class will recycle these items through Funding Factory.  For every cell phone or printer cartridge we recycle, Funding Factory credits our account.  Credits can be used to purchase classroom supplies.  Encourage your friends, family, and business associates to participate.  A collection box is located in our classroom.

  • Classroom Supplies - We are always in need of the following classroom supplies.  (Kleenex. hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, Lysol spray, Band-Aids, copy paper)  These supplies are items that are used by all students.  I would appreciate donations of these items throughout the school year.  Thanks for your help!
