Once you have replied to the
commitment email, you may search the classroom
database and choose a class that you think you would like to partner
with for the exchange. You are ready to contact the class and begin!
Click on the email link for that class at the Classroom
Database and send an introductory
email, provide mailing information, and set up the schedule
for your exchange. A sample
introductory email is provided below. If the class doesn't
reply to your email in a timely manner, contact
us so that we can find out if there is a technical
problem or if the class no longer wishes to participate and needs to be
removed from the database. If you receive
an introductory email contact from a class asking you to be their exchange
partner, be sure to check the database for that class' name. Only
those who make a commitment to the project will be included in this database.
Do not begin an exchange until you know your prospective partner is listed
in this database. Remember that when school is closed many teachers
do not have access to their email accounts and may not reply as promptly
as you might desire.
If
your class is not listed in this database, and you have registered,
contact the Classroom
Pet Exchange here. If
you now have a partner please click the check below to change your status
in the database.
