Dear Parents,
Your child
will be participating in a special Internet project called the Classroom
Pet Exchange. Our class will select and name a class pet (stuffed animal).
We will then send the class pet and its journal to another class who in
return will send their pet and journal to us. The exchange pet will visit
our class for several weeks. The children will take turns taking the class
pet home to spend the night. Upon returning to school the following day,
a story will be written about the visit in the journal. We will be sharing
our stories with other classes around the world using the Internet. We
feel this project is a wonderful way to encourage creativity, improve writing
skills, and make new friends. If you would like to visit the Class
