Special Activities
During
the school year, a number of special activities will be arranged.
For example, last year we organized two assemblies in the media
center. One was American Indian flute music and hoop dancing.
This presentation fit into our discussion of culture. The
second one involved music from Europe and Africa, showing how it
influenced American music.
We also had a guest speaker who has been teaching softball and
basketball to young girls in Iraq and Iran, and we traveled to the
International Festival at the University of Tennessee.
