I received my Bachelor of Science degree
in Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University with
a degree in Economics. I worked in banking for seven years as a
teller, new account representative, mortgage loan processor, and
administrative assistant. In 2004, I returned to school to get
my certification to teach. I received my degree from Carson
Newman College with a Master of Arts in Teaching.
In my spare time, I love to read fiction, cook for my family and friends, and knit. My obsession, though, is geneaology. I have researched my father's family line back to the 1760's. Currently I am working on my mother's family line and have established a patriot ancestor for my maternal line. I have been a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution since 2001, and I am an active member of the Emory Road Chapter in Powell.
