Class Rules
Our class has five basic rules that each child is expected to follow.
The rules are;

1. KEEP HANDS AND FEET TO YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES
2. WALK AT ALL TIMES
3. BE QUIET IN THE HALL
4. RAISE YOUR HAND DURING INSTRUCTION TIME
5. BE KIND TO EACH OTHER

The discipline in my class consists of positive behavior modification.  Your child will have a pocket of cards.  Each day your child will start with a green card.  If your child follows the rules all day, they will receive a tally mark at the end of the day.  Ten tally marks earns a reward from the prize box.  If you child breaks a rule they will be required to pull a card.  Each card has a consequence.  Move one card, walk two laps around the track during recess or sit five minutes during indoor recess.  Move two cards walk three laps, or sit ten minutes.  Move three cards lose all recess and parent gets a phone call or note.  Move four cards visit Mr. Arnold.

This seems to work well and the students know what to expect for unacceptable behavior.
