About Me

This is my first year of teaching, and I am
extremely excited to be
returning to my high school to teach. I graduated from JCHS in
2005. After graduating I went to Carson-Newman College and
majored in mathematics, adding the certification to teach. I
did my
student teaching at Rush Strong School in the eighth
grade mathematics class and at Morristown-East in geometry.
I was born and raised in Jefferson County and would
not have had it any other way. I truly love living in this
community! When I am not at school working, I am usually working
on my family's farm, doing anything from feeding cows to working in
hay. I also enjoy playing the piano and singing; I do both at
church and usually sing anywhere I am, especially in the car driving
down the road!
This year, I will be teaching two classes of
year-long Algebra I and one class of year-long Honors Algebra I all to
Freshmen. I hope that I can assist my
students in the big transition from middle school to high school.
My desire is that the students, parents, and I will be able to
work together to create a wonderful educational experience for
everyone. If you ever have any concerns or questions, please feel
free to contact me through e-mail
or by calling me at school at (865)
397-3182 ext. 152 during my planning
period.
