Pet Exchange Project -  This year our class will participate
          in the Pet Exchange Project.  Each student will take home our
          class pet.  The student will write about the adventurehe/she has
          with our pet bear Candy Cane.  Each student will take one
           picture with Candy Cane.   After everyone has had a turn
           taking Candy Cane home, we will send Candy Cane on to
          another classroom somewhere in the world.  In turn, the other
          classroom will send us their pet.

Change for Children's Hospital -  During the year, our
         class will be collecting pennies for Children's Hospital.  In
         April, I will contact a representive from the hospital to attend
        a class party and hand them a check from our class. I will invite
        local newspaper to take pictures of the presentation.
