past that are modern in their interpretive styles and so are
precursors, as it were, to modern art movements. Great links to
museums and histories to find out more and see more Spanish works.

Search Tools:
1. www.google.com
A good general search tool which you can use to find history, art, and literature.
2. www.ask.com
Very large search base. Very subject specific. Much smaller base for search than Google.
WebQuests:
1.
Webquest to country of your choice
This WebQuest features a hypothetical grant to send students to a
country of their choice. Students have to “listen” to
representatives from every Spanish speaking country in the world, then
choose a country and come back to share information with the class.
2.
Webquest Spanish-American War
Causes for the Spanish American war, specifically yellow journalism,
are addressed in this webquest which has links to wonderful history
pages. You may learn about the famous Walter Reed (for whom
Walter Reed hospital is named) and what he had to do with the Spanish
American War and Cuba. Read about the historical figures of
William Randolph Hearst and Theodor Roosevelt and their involvement as
well. Completing this quest is fun because it centers on
important issues and interesting personalities we hear of even today.
3.
Webquest Valencia
A WebQuest that says it’s designed for college students, but it
great for high school students, too. Students can pick a
character they want to be on a trip to Valencia in Spain. Click
links to find out about Valencia and answer questions for your
character you will find in a text box.
