I have 6 rules for my classroom.  The function of these rules is to promote a safe, nurturing, and successful learning environment.  I expect all students to follow these rules.

Rule # 1 Listen with others are talking.
Rule # 2 Follow directions the first time given.
Rule # 3 Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
Rule # 4 Work quietly and do not distrub others.
Rule # 5 Be respectful to people and property.
Rule # 6 Work and play safely.

In the event that a student does not follow the rules, consequences will follow the behavior.  It is my goal that these consequences will teach your child to choose between acceptabe and unacceptable behavior.

Consequence # 1 Verbal Warning
Consequence # 2 Change card to yellow    10 min. time out
Consequence # 3 Change card to orange   15 min. time out
Consequence # 4 Change card to green     20 min. time out
Consequence # 5 Change card to blue       No playtime
Consequence # 6 No Cards                       See principal

**Severe disruption will be sent to the principal immediately. 

I also believe in rewards to promote positive behavior.  Rewards may include the following:

• Daily verbal praise
• Ramdom positive notes home
• Prizes from the prize box
• Whole class can earn marbles that are good toward a "free day"
