Library books are on loan for a one week period. Students can
renew
books for an additional week. Library books are due each week
when
students come to the library for class. Overdue notices will be
sent
home when a book becomes overdue by more than a week.
Kindergarten, first, and second graders are allowed to check out one book at a time. Third, fourth, and fifth graders are allowed to check out two books at a time. Students in grades 2-5 are allowed to come to the library during specified "Open Library" times outside of their regularly scheduled class to check out books. Overdue notices will be sent home when a book is overdue for more than two weeks. Students are expected to take good care of library books while they have them checked out. Any student that loses or damages a book beyond use, will be expected to pay for its replacement. |
