Morse's Classroom Monkey Business
Week of November 17 and November 24
Edition 10

Dear Parents,

Planners, homework, and weekly completed classwork are coming home.  Again, please sign and read your child's planner to stay informed on our assignments, homework, and tests.  Furthermore, please notice papers that are needing a parent's signature on them.  Any student who does not make a passing grade on an assignment, must take it home and have a parent/guardian sign it.  This keeps everyone informed of his or her child's performance in the classroom and in the subject area.  There is one more area of importance that I need to emphasize. This is daily classwork and homework.  Several students are not turning in their work.  Please remember the homework policy , and remind your child about taking responsibility for his or her own grade.  Late work does equal to points being taken off of a grade.

Keep in mind, each child should be practicing his or her Math facts.  Our class has a goal of learning all Math facts by December.  This covers 0's through 12's.  Please work with your child, so he or she can become a Fact Master.  We already have four Fact Masters in our class. WORK ON THOSE FACTS!

Next, our class will be sending a box to a veteran for Christmas.  A letter went home about this on Thursday.  The due date for the items is November 25.  This will be our chance to show our support for our men and women in the armed forces.  Furthermore, currently our school is holding a "Can Soup" drive.  Please show your support by giving to others!

Finally,  mid-terms went home this week. (Nov.13)  Several students had missing work.  They have until November 19 to turn late work.  Please urge your child to ask if he or she can not find their missing work.  I will give them replacement assignments.

Always remember, if you have any questions, contact me at White Pine School, or email me at morses@k12tn.net.

Thank you! Mrs. Morse
