News Letter:
October 16, 2006
Last week we began our study of woodland animals. We
primarily focused on nocturnal animals. We will continue learning
about animals that live in the woodlands, their habitat, and what they
need to survive.
We have been working on rhyming words that rhyme with each student's
name along with name recognition. The children really seem to
enjoy this fun with language. Rhyming words can be real or
nonsense. We introduced letter "Bb" last week; and will introduce
letter "Ss" this week.
The White Pine Pre-K class and the Talbott Pre-K class are planning a
"Harvest Celebration". Weather permitting, we plan to reserve the
pavilion at Kids Kountry, next to the school. If any parent would
like to volunteer to coordinate this event, please let me know.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 24th, from
3:30 to 6:30 p.m. In order to see everyone, I will be limiting
the time to ten minutes per family. I will place a sign-up list
on the front door so you may select your time.
