The sites listed below will help you determine the reading level of many of the books in your classroom collection.  If you are unable to find your book listed on these sites, you can use the SMOG Readability Formula or Fry's Readability Graph.
 

Beaverton School District's Leveled Books Database - Type in the title or author to find books.  This site lists the Guided Reading (Fountas & Pinnell) and Reading Recovery level.
Scholastic Reading Counts! - Simply type in the title or author on the left side of the page and click on go.  This is an up-to-date, comprehensive listing of Reading Counts! titles featuring Lexile™ levels, Guided Reading levels, and grade-equivalent reading levels.
Reading Level Calculator - This step-by-step tool will estimate the reading level of a book using the SMOG readability formula.  Just follow the directions, enter your information and click on calculate.
Reading Recovery Leveled Book Lists
Leveled Book Lists - This list allows you to search for books by grade level, title, or author.
Leveled Book List  - This list includes both the Reading Recovery level and the Guided Reading level (Fountas & Pinnell) of many titles.
