MEET MRS. PRICE
(new pictures coming soon)

This is my 7th year teaching. This is my third year at JMS.  I have taught Literature, Science and READ 180.  I taught my first four years a Sevierville Middle School teaching 7th grade literature and Read 180.  After the birth of my daughter I moved schools to be closer to home. I have taught 6th grade and 8th grade science since coming to JMS. I am currently the READ 180 teacher at JMS.  Read 180 is a technology rich Language Arts class. My students have the best of everything. New computers and the lastest technology.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for six years.   We have been together for an amazing twelve !  We have an almost four year old daughter, Ana. She is the light of our lives and we love being parents. What a gift to be a mommy. I am expecting baby Price #2 in April.  We are all excited to be adding to our family.  We live on a small farm and have pigs, chickens, cows and dogs. Ana loves to feed the animals. She is a regular little farmer.

Bless my students as they live with my pregnance hormones.  They have all been wonderful this year, even though they think I'm crazy.  I love my students as they if they are my own children. As I tell them, "Once you are my kids, you are mine forever."  I expect my students to keep in touch over the years and let me know how they are doing. I have several former students that still check in from time to time.

I grew up in Northeastern Ohio. I moved to Tennesse when I was 16. I was a catcher for 8 years and played softball for 12.  I finished my last two years of high school at Jefferson County.  I also played volleyball, tennis and basketball in my school career. I love all sports.  I am an avid baseball fan and college football fan. I love watching sports, but I would rather be playing.

I graduated from Carson - Newman College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and K-8 endorsement.  I have always wanted to be a teacher. My mother says it is my gift from God, that I was born to be a teacher. I love my students and expect the best from them. I hope we have a fantastic rest of the year.
