Biology I Intro


On this website students and parents will find information pertaining to the study of Biology.  I am looking forward to going on the journey through Biology, the study of life, throughout this semester and year.  Parents, I encourage you to visit the webpage often and learn about your student's progress throughout the course with samples of work, pictures, and electronic portfolios. Things that you will find on this website are:

• Websites that pertain to current studies in Biology
• Review websites and information to prepare for quizzes and tests
•  Websites to discover new trends and research in Biological studies
• Online labs to prepare for actual labs

This fall I will be doing all of my grading and homework online with a program called  Engrade.  This gives students and parents the opportunity to see what material is being covered in class as well as a current grade for each student.  During the first week of school, students will go on a Biology scavenger hunt to learn about the guidelines of class, what is expected, and how to use this new online software.  With this software, students and parents know exactly how to check on assignments, grades, and contact me anytime.  This is a new process for me, too, so hopefully we can all become familiar with it and begin to use it with ease.  If you student does not have access to a computer with internet at home, please let me know so that I can help make arrangements to use the computers before school, during break, or after school.
