We will be conducting research on termites to predict their behavior in different settings.  Click here to learn about other insects in our area.

Helpful hints to succeed in AP Biology:
1.  Come prepared for class every day which means have homework, reading, and studying complete.
2.  When preparing for background for labs, ask questions if you do not understand.  You will not be allowed in lab without a background prepared.
3.  Make note cards or have some sort of study system that works for you.  It's too late to "cram" the day before the test/quiz.
4.  Much of our class requires the use of a computer.  If you do not have access to internet at home, make arrangements with either me or a friend to access internet at least 1-2 times per week.
5.  Check your grade often and progress through Engrade.

6.  The 3 R's of AP are:
Read, Retain, and Retell
A.  Read your material
B   Retain what you've read by jotting down notes or unclear concepts
C.  Retell what you've learned by "teaching" it to someone.  If you can teach it, you likely understand it.
