The resources include textbook support, Professional Development, Intervention, Author Spotlight, Wacky Web Tales, and Bilingual Resources. This is a great place for students to choose a theme and a resource and play a game or do an activity that corresponds with what they have chosen.
Pro Teacher Lesson Plans and Units http://www.proteacher.com To provide teachers with resources This site has a search engine for teachers along with lesson plans, and materials. This is a great site for teachers to use to find materials or make lesson plans.
Sites For Teachers Webliography    http://www.sitesforteachers.com/ To provide teachers with links and descriptions of various websites for their content area. This site allows the teacher to see the description of a particular site without going on the site. This is a great place for teachers to start when looking for educational websites.
Between the Lions** Internet Project http://pbskids.org/lions/ To provide stories and games that relate to reading Allows the student to choose a story to read or a game to play This is  good for students who learn by having fun.
Study Web Homework help  http://www.studyweb.com/ To provide students with help on homework. Allows the student to pick the subject and then have a "study buddy" to help them with it. This is a great place for students to go for help with others aren't there to help them with their homework.

Reading: Grades 3-5

Content Standard:
The student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text.
Goal Statement:
Reading is a lifelong process which builds on language development. Students must apply a wide range of strategies to enhance the reading process. They improve their comprehension of printed information and gain knowledge of themselves as world citizens through varied experiences with literature. As students respond to texts individually and share in literary communities, they become critical readers and experience increased comprehension and personal satisfaction.
