The Virtual Field Trips Site:
Students are able to take a "field trip" covering various topics.
Some environmental topics include Natural Wonders, Endangered
Species, and a Rain forest Field Trip. Along with the
field trips, there are links to other sites concerning that topic.

or Plastic?: The site can be found through WebQuest.
It gives students a chance to work on cooperative learning skills and ways
to improve the environment by deciding the importance of recycling paper
and plastic bags.

Bottle
Habitat: Bottle Habitat lays a good foundation for getting students
interested in studying habitats. This one comes with a lesson plan.

Acid
Rain: Students are able to better understand the causes of acid
rain on this planet through this site. There is also an activity
for students to do in order to test the acidity of water in their community.

The Globe Program: This site can
be used for gathering research or for getting involved in the fight for
protecting the global environment. GLOBE students "make a core set of environmental
observations at or near their schools and report their data via the Internet.

Learning
about Biodiversity: This is more of an interactive lesson plan
for students that lets them talk with people from the community, visit
natural areas in the community, and make a presentation of the data collected.
This makes it not only good idea for helping students learn science, but
they can also learn about using presentation software such as Power Point.

information about the deserts of the world and the plants, animals and
people that live there.

Around the World: Student learn about how weather affects various
parts of the country and how it effects the impact is has on the U.S.
They are also able to pick up on key weather terminology.

This has a list of links that you can add to your own collection by requesting
an account. It contains a list of links to available resources on the Internet.

Interesting Recycling
Facts: This is a very good general site for students to learn
important facts concerning recylcing. This can lead to good class
dicussions as to which facts are the most important.

Software Reviews: This site has a large variety of Science software
to choose from. It also comes with a description of the software
and its price. Some key environmental software are:

Natural Resources: This one is focused on water, and its impact
in various aspects of out lives. Through this you'll study local
weather, coral reefs, water conservation, and others.

Out Environment: This is available on either Windows or Mac
CD. Students will study how humans impact our natural resources.
This CD ROM covers all aspects of the environment through a database of
information.
