Science Teaching Resources K-12

Who We Are:
This site was created as a group project for
the course Educational Technology at Carson-Newman College, Spring 2001.
Graduate students who created this project: Wendi Anthony, Rebecca
Hamilton, Helen Morrow, and Kimberly Taylor-Large. Our assignment
was to research and create a web page with various science links for grades
K-12 to be used by teachers, students and parents. We hope you find
these links as useful as we did!

Specialized Search Engine
Randall Oelerich, site creator & web
master
This is a web site for anybody seeking
to expand their knowledge, to learn, and to explore topics primarily (but
not exclusively) related to science- for example: biology, chemistry, physics,
and mathematics. The creator of the site has a broad background in
science and computing so decided to make a web site with a limited number
of choice links and content relating to science and technology. Excellent
royalty free clip-art for science teachers and students to use!
BrainPOP
http://www.brainpop.com/health/seeall.weml
BrainPOP is a site that caters to middle-schoolers,
featuring things such as eighth grade divas Cassie and Rita walking you
through musical tutorials of academic mini-movies and ways to earn points
for cool hip-hop gear by on-line educational quizzes. The site uses
slang language understood by 6th-8th graders, and appears middle school
friendly.
