This is a very credible source for teachers and students alike.

This site is a webliography that has lists of links to multiple social studies related topics.
This site is most effectively used by teachers.
In addition to historical facts, it offers information to aid in teaching the material that is found throughout this site.
The site has a profound amount of information that will benefit any social studies teacher.

This web site is a content resource site.
This purpose of this site is to inform teachers and students of many general historical events as well as those events that are sometimes overlooked.
This site contains lists of historical events and important figures.
One attraction of this web site is that it is easy to use and informative.

This web site can be used as an Internet Teaching tool.
This site contains information about how to create a Web Quest.
Web Quest is a good sit e to visit if a teacher wants to put more variety in his/her teaching style.

This particular site is designed more for high school and even college level students.
Obviously this site will bring about higher level thinking in most high school students.
It contains items such as teaching materials, primary documents, and a discussion on teaching US history.
The content material found on this site is great.

Social Studies Resources

This is a social studies resource site.
It can be effective for teachers and students alike to find information.
The most impressive feature is that it has links to information about topics such as European history, global history, civics, world geography, US history, and news resources.
This is a very good, comprehensive site.

Lesson Plans and Resources for Social Studies Teachers

This is a lesson plan site that also has information about other online activities available.
It basically gives teachers ideas on lessons and how to teach them.
There are only nine topics listed on the home page, and each covers a vast amount of information.
The site is very self explanatory and easy to use.
I feel that it would very effective for a teacher who needs some new ideas for instruction.

Social Studies Curriculum Resources

This is a curriculum resource page.
Its purpose is to help teachers locate many different types of curriculum ranging from books to maps.
The site simply has subject headings that the user must click on in order to get a list of the curriculum.
It is a very user friendly site that offers a good amount of resources that will help teachers.
