This Web site is a virtual field trip to the desert.  It is to be used mainly by teachers for integrating technology into the environmental curriculm, but this site may also be used by kids for fun. Virtual field trips are an excellent way to get the class there without actually going anywhere.

This is a Web site that is created for both the teacher and the student. Teachers can have their students participate in the site project that allows students to measure the temperature, record the number of minutes of sunlight per day over a predetermined week, and determine their global coordinates.

This standards-based Real Time Data Module has been created for use by students in the elementary grades to allow them to investigate weather phenomena both locally and in other places around the world.  The Teacher Area contains detailed, printable lesson plans for each of the sections; Introductory Activities, Real Time Data Activities, and Language Arts Activities. The Student Area contains simplified directions for the Language Arts and Real Time Data activities.  This is a great Web site for both teachers and students to use together.
