This interactive tutorial is designed for remedial use with students in grades 3 and above who are able to read at the 1.5-2.0 grade levels or better. Readability grade levels of the materials are set using the Bormuth and Fry Readability Indexes: Level 1, 1.5-4.5; Level 2, 3-8; Level 3,6-10; Level 4,8-12. The student selects one of five skill areas to practice: inference, vocabulary, details, main idea, or sequence. The student begins by taking diagnostic test and is assigned to an instructional level by the computer. The management system is designed so that a successful student is advanced automatically to a more difficult level and one who is not having success assigned to an easier level. Positive feedback for correct answers is provided. Incorrect answers receive encouragement to try again, the answer if necessary, explanations, and guidance for re-reading.

It is a traditional program and is lacking in flashy graphics, but students can get a lot of practice working on the various reading skills.
