SENIORS COMPLETE YOUR FAFSA NOW.  THIS IS YOUR APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL MONEY AS WELL AS EDUCATION LOTTERY SCHOLARSHIP.  If you are eligible for PELL grant the deadline for additional state funds is March 1, 2008.

 

KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program-new $5000 scholarship program for students with 2.75 GPA or higher, planning to attend an instate school.  Online application available through February 15.  Visit www.kfcscholars.org

 

Tennessee Manufactured Housing Association- Stan and Thelma Plumlee Scholarship open to students who have an association with manufactured housing industry: etiher by living in a manufactured home, working in industry, or by having a relative who works in the industry.  Students must be attending a Tennessee college or technical school.  Deadline March 17, 2008  visit www.tnmha.net

Cliff Weiss Memorial Essay Contest- Students must be enrolled in one career technical education course (marketing, health science, carpentry, auto mechanics, family and consumer science, agriculture, cosmetology, business) and complete an essay "How would you communicate the impact and importance of CTE related to your community?"  http://www.acteonline.org/about/awards/CWMEC/index.cfm

 

New Market Masonic Lodge- preference to New Market residents, students must complete brief essay on charity, patriotism or morality.  Deadline March 14, 2008

Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association- one time $500 scholarship awarded to a student pursuing a degree in education with intent to teach in public schools.  Deadline April 7, 2008.

White Pine Leadvale Masonic Lodge – White Pine residents complete application with brief responses to economic need and field of interests.  Deadline March 28, 2008.

Lowland Credit Union Scholarship-student members with 3.0 GPA or higher can apply for one of four scholarships.  Deadline is March 28, 2008.

 

 

Selective Service - 18 year old males must register within 30 days of turning 18.  Pick up forms at the post office or go to www.sss.gov.  You cannot receive scholarship money or financial aid if not registered
