Sarah Rogers Memorial Scholarship-Deadline April 18, 2008.  Open to all students exhibiting a flair for life and commitment to education.  Preference given to those pursuing music but ALL candidates considered. 

 

Daughters of the Cincinnati Scholarship Program:  Students must be a daughter of a commissioned officer in the U.S. Military.  Due March 15th.  Applications can be found on-line at http://fdncenter.org/grantmaker/cincinnati

 

UTC Yes Grant-This award is provided to assist students with demonstrated financial need.  The $3000 yearly award is renewable, and is reserved for entering freshmen.  Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and a 19/ACT.  For more information, go to www.utc.edu/FinancialAid. 

 

UTC Mathematics Scholarship-Sponsored by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.  Students majoring in math with a 3.0 HS GPA and a 3.5 math GPA.  $4000 renewable scholarship.  Deadline March 15.

 

White Pine Lions Club Scholarship-open to residents of White Pine.  Scholarship based on academic achievement, school and community involvement, financial need and life plans.  Deadline March 28

 

Blakely Donica Cameron Scholarship-Full time undergraduate students attending Carson Newman College.  Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA.  $1000 renewable scholarship.

 

Louie Vesser Scholarship-Students with a 3.0 GPA and financial need who have been involved in programs originated by Mr. Vesser.  Deadline March 31.

 

Kiwanis Club of Jefferson City-scholarship open to students with financial need and community service.  Deadline is March 28.

 

White Pine Ruritan Scholarship-residents of White Pine can apply for this scholarship based on financial need and commitment to community.

 

Carl Biddle Memorial-graduating seniors pursuing a major in agricultural field.  Deadline April 1.

 

SERSHA Scholarship-$1000 scholarship open to students assisted through Section 8 rental program.  Deadline March 15, 2008.

 

ETSU Basler Scholarship- Students with intended Engineering Technology major.  Deadline March 28

 

Tennessee Tech University TKE Scholarship- two scholarships-one for academic performance and the other for athletic/personality excellence.  Summer evaluations conducted by contacting Cody Crews at (615) 406 7153 or David Schwer at (931) 581-5888.

 

Lowell Woods Endowed UTK Scholarship- New scholarship for JCHS students attending UTK.  $5000 towards freshman year.  Students must read The Millionaire Next Door and respond to a quiz.  Also complete an application with essay on a hardship that has impacted high school.  (Copies of book available in media center.)  Deadline March 14, 2008.

John Toomey Memorial Scholarship- Open to all seniors who write a brief essay regarding the responsible student citizen.  Deadline April 18, 2008.

 

Coach Leroy Shannon Memorial Scholarship-Deadline April 30, 2008.  Student athlete and community service.

 

Joey Michaels Memorial Scholarship- student with financial need pursuing college education at Carson Newman.  If interested give your name to Mrs. Roach

 

New Market Masonic Lodge-Deadline March 14, 2008.  Open to all JCHS seniors, but preference is given to New Market residents and graduates of New Market Elementary

 

JCEA Scholarship- scholarship offered to students pursuing a degree in education.  Application and references required.   Deadline March 14.

 

Imagine America Scholarship-for career college/technical students with at least a 2.75 GPA.  Register at www.imagine-america.org

 

 

Selective Service - 18 year old males must register within 30 days of turning 18.  Pick up forms at the post office or go to www.sss.gov.  You cannot receive scholarship money or financial aid if not registered

 

 

 

All Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship Program Recipients Must:

  • Apply with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available at www.fafsa.ed.gov. To receive a paper FAFSA, check with your high school counselor.  Applications must be received by September 1st for fall semester, February 1st for spring and summer semesters. Early application is recommended.
