1.      Knox Area College Fair Scholarship-see Mrs. Roach to pick up a scholarship form for the College fair to be held on October 11 from 6 to 8 pm at Pellissippi State Technical Community College Student Recreation Center.  Must have a 2.75 GPA and plan on attending College or Technical School.

2.      Top Tenn Award-Vanderbilt University: two top ranking students from the Senior class can be nominated for this scholarship valued at ½ cost of tuition.  Scholarship is renewable for all four years.  See Mrs. Roach by December 1, 2007.

3.      Principals Leadership Award-requires resume of school and community activities along with an essay on leadership qualities.  See Mrs. Roach for details. Deadline is November 23, 2007.

4.      Leaders in Residence Scholarship: UT at Martin scholarship offered for class officers, student council, Beta or Honor Society Presidents, or other organization state officer.  See Mrs. Roach by November 1, 2007 for nomination.

5.      Emory University Goizueta Business Scholars-students interested in field of business and Emory University can be nominated for the scholars program.  Let Mrs. Roach know by October 19, 2007.

6.      Emory University Scholars-open to all students interested in attending Emory University.  See Mrs. Roach by October 19, 2007.

7.      Gardner Webb University Scholars-students interested in the University can compete for one of 12 scholarships ranging from full tuition, room and board down to 80% tuition scholarships.  Deadline is October 15, 2007 to be nominated.

JCHS Financial Aid Night will be held October 25, 2007 in the Commons from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  An overview of the federal financial aid process (FAFSA) along with an update from TSAC on lottery scholarship will be provided along with representatives from local colleges.  Parents and students are encouraged to attend.

 

Remember the application for lottery scholarship IS the FAFSA!
