My name is Mrs. Jessica Runyan. I teach at Piedmont Elementary School in Dandridge, Tennessee. I've been married to my best friend,
Brant, for almost 5 years.
We have two precious cats named Molly and Darcy,
and we are expecting a baby boy at the end of July.

I am from Strawberry Plains. I attended Northview Elementary in Kodak, and
then went to Sevier County High School. I went to Walters State Community College,
and I graduated from Carson Newman College with both my Bachelor's and Master's degree.
I have taught in the Sevier County School System and the Jefferson County School System.
This is my fifth year teaching!

When I'm not at school, I like to scrapbook, go to the movies,
work on my website, cook, shop for antiques, decorate cakes,
garden, and spend time with my family and friends.

I hope that you have learned a little more about me.

Color - Purple

Food – Chinese, authentic Italian, and Ice Cream

Favorite Restaurant- Altruda's and Mandarin House

Animal – Molly Brown (my cat)

Music - All kinds...I love older (80s) music
(Journey, Prince, ABBA, Bonnie Tyler, etc.)

Favorite TV show – I hate to admit this. . .

Favorite Movie – Oh My! So many to name. Princess Bride, Mulan,
Jerry Maguire, The Cutting Edge, Shag, Last of the Mohicans,
Far and Away, Drop Dead Fred
(my pretend friend when I was growing up was named Danger--
if you see Drop Dead Fred, you will know why I told you that)

Candy – 3 Musketeer, Raisinets, and sour watermelons

Favorite Place- the beach when everyone else is working or in school
and being with my husband

Favorite Author – J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter author)
As a child, I loved to read anything by Judy Blume, Beverly Cleary,
or Ann Martin.

Favorite Book – my Bible

Other misscellaneous stuff that makes me, me!
I can't stand being in traffic or having to wait in a line.
I would rather eat desert than my meal. I love thunderstorms,
when I am not driving in them. I love to go to the movies.
I love to walk down by the river or lake (Douglas).
I love to garden, and plant flowers. I collect Longaberger
baskets and handcarved African masks.
I love to shop for clothes and antiques.
I love the peacefulness of the mountains. Greenbriar is one of my favorite places.
I love the Fall and Christmas time. I love seeing all the
beautiful lights and nativities. I love Jesus, my Savior.
I love to read children's books. I collect them.
I love to cook and make new dishes. I love to work on my webpage.
Finally, I absolutely adore children. They are a blessing!
