Mrs. Sharp’s 7th
Grade Mathematics
Expectations, Classroom
Rules, General Procedures, and Grading Policy
2007-2008
I. Expectations:
7th grade marks the
beginning of what used to be Junior High School. It marks a time in your life when you are
expected to act less like a small child and more like a young adult. I would
prefer to treat you like the young adults that you are, rather than the small
children that you used to be. However,
it is your behavior and attitude that will dictate how you will be treated. If you wish to be treated like a young adult,
then you should be prepared to follow the expectations and procedures outlined
below and in the rest of this handout.
If you choose not to follow these rules, you should be prepared to accept the consequences of your actions. With that said, here is what I expect of you
as young adults
- Try
your best at all times.
- Have
a positive attitude.
- Show
respect to your teachers and your
classmates..
- To
be prepared for class and bring your supplies every day.
- To
help keep the room clean.
- Ask
questions when you don’t understand something.
- Do
your own work—no cheating.
- Be
responsible.
- Be
honest
- Accept the consequences for
your actions.
There are certain things you should
expect from me. You can expect me to:
- Try
my best to teach you.
- Have
a positive attitude.
- To
treat you with respect.
- To
be prepared for class.
- Help
to keep the room clean
- To
answer your questions when you don’t understand something.
- To
