JCHS CARPENTRY

Carpentry gives students the basic knowledge of residential and commercial construction. Students will learn techniques used in construction for Drafting and design, framing, roofing, exterior finishing, drywall finishing, thermal insulation, waterproofing as well other topics too numerous to mention. Students have the opportunity to build small scale structures using techniques they have learned in class. This Course is ideal for students who desire to enter the construction industry, students who are interested in architecture, architectural engineering, or those students who want to learn to be a "Do it yourself" person around the house after graduating from high school and or college.
