                 Welcome  Page

     "Bienvenidos" is Spanish for "Welcome everybody". In this same sense, I wish to extend a cordial welcome to all those who are visiting my website for the first  or even the tenth time.  Spanish is a language which is  certainly of growing usefulness  in the United States, and even in a state like Tennessee, where I teach. As a simple example, over forty million people are of Hispanic origin in the United States ! That figure represents nearly five times that of Hispanics in the U.S. population scarcely four decades ago; in addition Hispanics are the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population. Thus, chances are very good that you will find the need to converse with un hispanohablante (a Spanish-speaker) where you live or work.  This proximity of the language was a real motivation for me to study Spanish and it should be for you and your family members as well. Please take some time to view my website; I think you might well find information which is interesting as well as practical!
