We are reading about Harry Houdini and other magical tricks performed by magicians. In our reading, we are also learning about optical illusions and how they play a role in what we see as magic performed by magicians. The students are very excited about the tricks they are "figuring out", so they have asked if we could have a Magic Show. If a student would like to perform a trick for the class on Friday, that would be great! Noone has to participate, and the trick should not take more than a minute or two. Students can even deicde tio explain a trick and not perform it. Just make sure that students practice their "performance" for oral presentation purposes. Have fun!
