Rules

I believe in being fair, firm, and consistent. I want to create a respectful and positive learning environment. Rules must be established and followed to maintain this learning environment.

1. While I am talking, you have permission to listen. When you are talking I will listen. Interrupting me or another speaker will not be tolerated.

2. Students are to be in the classroom when last bell rings.

3. Students are to be in their assigned seat and quiet when the teacher rings the start bell.

4. Only water is permitted during class time; no other drinks or food is allowed.

5. No objects are to be thrown in the classroom.

6. All school rules will be followed

Consequences

First time = verbal warning
Second time = Loss of Break Time or Writing Assignment
Third time = Isolation from group and Parental Contact
Fourth time = Office Referal

Grades

A grading period consists of four chapter tests (40%)
a project grade (20%)
a class work grade (10%)
a notebook grade (10%)
and nine weeks test (20%).

If more than four tests are given in nine weeks then the lowest test grade will be dropped. No other grade will be dropped.

Class work grading scale

5 = 93% correct, all problems attempted
4 = 85% correct, all problems attempted
3 = 75% correct, all problems attempted (Any score of 2 or 3 can be redone for a better score up to a 4)
2 = < 75% correct most problems attempted
0 = no attempt made

Make Up work

Students will have 24 hours after they return to make up any missed work. Students will have one week to turn in any redo work or a 2 will be recorded.
