Camp Read Along

Nancy Campbell teaches the children at Camp Read Along about oil based colors!  Art is a huge piece of Camp.  The children have several projects again this year.  For example, they are making an altered book and decorating a bag!

Every day of Camp includes Guided Reading, Self-Selected Reading, Writing, and Working With Words!

The Second and Third Grade students made apple pie during the first week of Camp!  The kids got to core the apples, read the direction, do the mixing and of course, do the tasting!

Mrs. Waltke teaches a sequencing lesson with sentence strips containing the steps of the apple pie directions!

After reading two stories about snakes, the children made a snake out of a paper plate.  They wrote snake words on the snake.  Mrs. Waltke helped to generate a list on the board!
