1.  Have your students compare and contrast the Cows and the Duck from the story.  For example,




2.  Then,  have your students fold that paper so that it meets in the middle.  They can write the title of the story, draw and color a barn, and draw a picture of a duck and a cow.  For example,




The students think they are just having fun.  But we know that "comparing" is the number one strategy for increasing student achievement according to  Robert Marzano.   It's ready to hang up against a wall, or be sent home as a learning souvenier.
