Each day your child will bring home an assignment book that tells you about any homework your child has for that day.  This assignment book is to be taken home each day.  I ask that you look for this book each night and sign it letting me know that you have seen it and discussed any homework assignments with your child.  This is a very helpful tool in keeping parents informed on what is going on in class on a daily basis.  If you have any questions or comments this is a good place to write them because I, too, will be looking at the assignment book each day.  You can also check here daily for an update on special projects and class work assignments.
     All subjects have work that is assigned in class and then ample time is allowed to complete the assignments.  If a child does not get the assignment completed in class it then becomes homework and needs to be completed at home and returned the next day.  Periodically additional homework is assigned.  IF it is not completed then your child will have to miss recess the following day to complete it.  This is why the assignment book is so important!  It keeps you informed on what is going on and it is a useful tool for students to keep them organized.
