ENGLISH
The second grade curriculum in English consists of a variety of skills.
It is very difficult to separate English, Reading, Writing, Spelling and
Listening skills from each other as they are all interwoven.
Several parts of speech are introduced in 2nd grade. The Mountain
Language that we do and go over each day is tested on Friday. It
includes many English skills including compound words, contractions, antonyms,
synonyms, ABC order, guide words, rules for capital letters, periods or
question marks, categorization, suffixes, prefixes, and others.
