Classroom Rules
At the beginning of the school year the class is introduced to the rules that will make for a disciplined class!   These rules are posted in the room as a reminder.  Consequences for breaking the rules are discussed.  These are the rules for Grade 2A for the school year 2006-2007:
        Walk in the building.
Raise your hand and wait to be called on.
Keep hands and feet, and all other body parts, to yourself.
Be thoughtful and kind to everyone.
Return materials to the proper place.
Follow directions the first time given.

When a rule is broken the child is asked to change a card.  Each child has four cards, green, yellow, blue, and pink.  By knowing the color your child ended the day with, you can be aware of behavior for the day.  Check their assignment book for their color.  Serious infractions or constant inappropriate behavior will be cause for a phone call to parents and/or a visit to the principal's office.

Green card  no rules broken reward
Yellow card  one infraction no reward,
no punishment
Blue card  two infractions 5 min. off break time
Pink card 3 or more infractions 10 min. off break time, note home in assignment book
