Guidance & Counseling is a vital part of the WIA program.  Making a solid career plan is your passport to success.  Career assessments and exploration will help you and a WIA counselor map your path to the future.
Get Work experience in a career that interests you to start you on your way to a lucrative career.  The WIA program offers up to 500 hours work experience through paid/unpaid work experiences, job shadowing, and apprenticeships.
Summer employment is a great way to "try out" different career fields until you find the one that is right for you.  Each summer many WIA participants earn cash by working through our program and also have the opportunity to attend WIA summer camp at Walters State Community College.
Education is the vehicle that takes you to a successful future.  Let us help you finish school by getting your high school diploma, GED, AS, BS, or industry certification.
Leadership Development helps our WIA students become independent, free thinkers by improving decision making, problem solving, and comprehension skills.
Mentoring from successful industry professionals can help you make a successful trip from school to work.
Tutoring and Study Skills can help you find you place on the career map of life. One-on-one tutoring designed just for you will have you racing toward a diploma or a GED.
Supportive Services such as buying your gas to get to school, paying for childcare, buying clothes for work or a job interview, paying your GED test fees, and others fuel the vehicle that will deliver you to career success.
Occupational Skills Training will help you create the resume', cover letter, and transferable skills you need to pass through the toll booths along the road of success.
Follow up once you are on your way with a WIA counselor that will not leave you stranded on the side of the road.  We guide you through the WIA program and beyond.
