a consequence to the beahvior. Listed
below are the consequences that correspond to the different colored
cards:
- Green Card (Level 1)= Great Job! Go for GREEN!
- Yellow Card (Level 2)= 10 Minutes off Recess
- Blue Card (Level 3)= 20 Minutes off Recess
- Red Card (Level 4)= Lose ALL Recess and sit alone during lunch
- Beyond
Red Card (Level 5)= Students who misbehave beyond changing all four
cards may receive an Office Referral, lose ALL Recess, sit alone
during lunch, and possibly serve detention with me (either before
school or after school; depending on their travel arrangements).
Rewards
Students have the opportunity to work towards earning
prizes and/or free ice cream!
We have a Good Behavior Calendar Program. Below are the
descriptions of the program and possible rewards.
Good Behavior Calendar Program:
Each student will be given a monthly calendar to place in his/her
binder. Each day, students will try their best to stay on their green
card. In order to stay on green, students must:
- Complete ALL homework
- Parent/Guardian MUST sign/initial the child's planner each night.
- ALL students are expected to follow all school and classroom rules and procedures.
If the child
remains on green all day, he/she will receive a sticker for that day.
At the end of the week, the child must have earned all five stickers,
one sticker per day, in order to receive a prize from the prize drawer
on Monday. Students who receive all five stickers by Friday will get a
chance to choose a prize on the following Monday. Students who do not
earn all five stickers will not get the chance to get a prize on
Monday, but they have many more chances, as each week is a new chance.
On shortened weeks, students, including the beginning of the school
year, students will only have to earn stickers for the days they are
present that week. For example, if we only come to school three days,
the child will only need to earn three stickers to earn a prize.
Students who earn stickers every single day for the entire month will
receive free ice cream on the first day of the following month.
