Page! I am Tracy Wilson and I am the
General
Music Teacher at Dandridge Elementary School in
Dandridge,
Tennessee. I hope you enjoy my web page. I have tried to
include links and information that would be of interest to parents and
students. I also want to give information on what we are doing in
our classes on a regular basis.
Parent News:
It is hard to believe that we are back at school already! The summer has flown by. I hope you and your children have had a nice break and are looking forward to a great year at DES. We have a few important event happening right at the first of the year in our music classes.
First, we will be taking up money for recorders. These instruments will be used in our classroom time. If your child is in the 3rd grade, they will need to bring $2 to their teacher or my room. This will purchase their recorder and they will leave it in my room for the school year. They will take it home at the end of the year. 4th grade students my bring their recorder they used back to school ASAP. If your child has misplaced their recorder, they may purchase a new one. We will begin taking up money August 22nd.
Second, We will be having chorus auditions for our 4th and 5th grade students on August 23rd & 25th. Tuesday, the 23rd will be for 4th graders. Your child will audition for two judes and the event will be held in the library from 3 - 4 pm. The 5th grade students will audition on Monday, August 25th from 3 - 4 pm. The same procedure will be followed. Each student will need to be picked up at the front door of the school by 4pm. If there are any conflicts with scheduling, please let me know and I will work this our for your child. We look forward to having a great chorus this year.
